PII Guard has been protecting individual accounts for a while: with the toggle on, everything you type or paste in chat is redacted by Presidio (names, email addresses, phone numbers, IBANs, medical identifiers and more) before it reaches any AI model. For teams and companies, data protection is rarely an individual choice — it is a policy. That is why organization admins can now make PII Guard mandatory for the entire organization with one switch: Enforce PII Guard, in the Organization User Settings.
Open your organization page and you will find the new Enforce PII Guard toggle alongside the existing organization controls (custom model curation, non-ZDR access, EU-hosted preference). Flip it on, save — and PII Guard is switched on for every member of your organization, across all of their models. No per-user setup, no follow-up emails, no compliance checklist: one decision, applied everywhere.
While the organization enforces PII Guard, each member sees their personal PII Guard toggle as ON and locked, with a clear note that the setting is managed by their organization admin. Everything else works exactly as before: chats are answered normally — the models simply never see the raw personal data. The +30% credit uplift for Presidio processing applies per protected request, unchanged.
Enforcement is not a one-time action. When a new colleague accepts an organization invite while enforcement is active, PII Guard is switched on for them at the moment they join. Your policy stays complete as your team grows — there is no window in which a new member could chat unprotected.
The org switch works as a floor, not a remote control. If your admin later disables enforcement, nobody's protection is silently removed: every member keeps PII Guard ON and simply regains control of their personal toggle. Members who want to continue without redaction can turn it off themselves — a conscious, individual decision. Privacy is never reduced automatically.

The section is now called Organization User Settings, is fully available in English and German, and every toggle comes with a plain-language explanation of exactly what it does for your members: • Use Custom Model Selection — override the Teams tier defaults with an organization-specific model list • Allow Member Custom Models — let members add their own models on top • Allow non-ZDR models — extend the catalogue beyond Zero-Data-Retention providers • Prefer EU-hosted models — keep routing within EU-hosted providers • Enforce PII Guard — lock PII Guard ON for every member What you decide as an admin, and what your members experience, is now visible at a glance.
PII Guard enforcement is available to all organizations at no extra charge. Presidio runs on our European servers, redacted values are never stored, and PII-protected usage is transparently labelled in your dashboard.
PII Guard is now one account-wide toggle: chat text is redacted for all models and PDF attachments in chat are blocked — sensitive documents go through the on-premise Knowledge Base pipeline.
